This encaustic collage series combines original photographic images with found vintage ephemera creating stories, non-linear narratives, and blended identities. The collage and image transfers are created with encaustic. The fused and layered aspects of life, pieces of domestic space, and unexpected portraits, are both real and imagined. Within this work discarded materials and stolen effigies are unified as a way to reclaim the past and blend it with the present. Created between 2013 and 2016.
